These questions are intended to increase your level of self-awareness and allow you to blend your experience with your expectations.

This is an exercise where what you actually get from it might be something different from what you imagined, for example, self-awareness or a desire to adapt some of your behaviour in some situations.

This model contained four key constructs: balanced processing in decision-making, an internalized moral perspective, relational transparency with others and self-awareness (Walumbwa et al, 2008).
Self-report data is contingent on the self-awareness of the individual and yet it's the relative absence of this variable that often leads individuals into a coaching process in the first place.
Consequently new constructs like developmental readiness (see Chapter 3) have been developed to assess who is ready to embark on development activities and a big part of this construct is self-awareness.
At its simplest, this is an indicator of the individual's level of self-awareness in that, if their assessment is wildly discrepant, they are usually not that aware of their impact.
